How GEA Can Assist Your Agency

Field Data Collection: GPS mapping, digital aerial photography, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), field verification of data, statistics gathering. These activities can be on a small site or on a much larger, regional scale. Possibilities: catalogue natural resources, locate endangered species over large areas, document disasters, create state-wide databases/maps, measure highways, sidewalks, quantify utilities. There are literally hundreds of different uses for the type of ground data we can collect.

Data Processing and Interpretation: Processing aerial photography, 3-dimensional modeling, square footage/acreage calculations, quantify resources, GIS database building, manual drafting, AutoCAD drafting, large-scale digitizing, Trimble GPS data processing, base file correction. Possibilities: production of color-rendered maps, statistical analysis, National Resources Inventory work, combining different data sets, standardizing different data formats, recording old maps in digital format.

Assistance for Your Staff: Processing data usually takes more time than actually collecting it in the field. If your staff is faced with analyzing huge amounts of data, GEA personnel have the basic skills to learn your data processing means, methods and specifications. We will work on short or long term contracts.

Availability & Office Mobility: GEA has the ability to set up a fully functioning office to conduct the work described herein within two weeks anywhere in the U.S. We have worked extensively in Mexico and China, and have no problem with foreign assignments. If workload exceeds our small staff, we have business contacts with qualified personnel that can be sub-contracted to meet your complete project needs.
